Radio Chuggs: 2012

So, I love rec (bar) league softball. Our radio group sponsors a team made up of various employees here and I can never play because I'm on the air at night when they play the games. Because I was on for Joe Marroe yesterday I was finally able to play. This was my time to shine. My moment in the sun. Keep in mind I haven't taken a pitch in about 6 years. Our team is a bad news bears style team and we haven't won a game yet this year. I was going to be the person that delivered this first win. I couldn't find my softball glove so it was my baseball glove which is considerably smaller to the rescue and a golf glove instead of a batting glove. I had two nice outs at home plate (I was the catcher) and was ROBBED of a nice line drive but not a bad performance overall. After a hard fought game we lost 7-2. We did however take a nice lead in the pitcher race at the local watering hole. Drinking beer is definitely a victory that will not be taken away from us!
